Elysia Vineyard was planted in 2006 with 3.5 acres Pinot Noir, 1 acre Viognier and 0.5 acre Syrah. This steep sloped vineyard overlooks Okanagan Lake to the east, soaking in the early and midday sun. Bedrock, glacial deposited gravel and top soil. The 2022 growing season began as one of the coolest on record with a damp spring and then took a dramatic switch into a long, warm summer and fall. What looks like a warm season on paper, presents like a cool vintage in the wines with intense vibrant fruit, balanced by higher levels of natural acidity, elegance and moderate alcohol levels.
